Camp Bow Wow Launches Facebook Game

North America's Largest Pet Care Franchise Proves That Being "Bad to the Bone" Can Be Fun

BROOMFIELD, CO--(Marketwire - Apr 13, 2012) - Camp Bow Wow®, North America's largest and fastest growing pet care franchise, an INC 5000 company with franchise opportunities available across the country, reaches a brand milestone this week with the release of its new interactive Facebook game, Bad to the Bone.

In this new game, players are charged with keeping Camp Bow Wow®'s furry dog mascot, Scout, happy and entertained with various playful activities such as rubbing his belly and playing Tug-o-War -- but once Scout's happiness begins to run low, he proceeds to misbehave and tear-up the virtual living room where the game takes place. The game is a fun take on a common challenge that many pet owners face when they must leave their pets unattended while they head off to work or take extended trips.

Camp Bow Wow® offers a great solution to this challenge with their Premier Doggy Day and Overnight Camp®. Pet owners that work away from home during the day can drop their dogs off to play at a local Camp in the morning and pick them up later that evening on their way home. While those that travel on business or plan on taking a much deserved vacation can leave their dogs overnight under the care and supervision of Camp Bow Wow®'s Certified Camp Counselors®. For owners who want to check in on their pets while they are away, live Camper Cams® are accessible from any computer in the world that has internet access -- and even on your iPhone!

In addition to their Camp facilities, Camp Bow Wow® also offers Home Buddies, an in-home pet care service for pet owners with newborn pups, elderly or infirmed dogs, cats, birds, fish, small mammals and reptiles, and other animals that aren't eligible to attend camp. The Home Buddies service sends a Certified Caregiver to pet owners' homes to provide top-notch care for their pets while they're away at work or traveling.

Have you ever come home only to find that your puppy has made a mess of the room in which you left him? Bad to the Bone is a fun demonstration as to why Home Buddies is such a great option for pet parents who are away during the day.

Apart from being an entertaining escape from real life, Bad to the Bone is also a clever way to reinforce the importance of keeping your pet(s) entertained while you are away, as the player is able to assign an activity that takes place over a set period of time. After Scout has been left unattended and he has misbehaved three times, the game is over and the player is presented with the option to post his/her high score on the leaderboards and play again.

But that's not all! Before the game commences, players are presented with the opportunity to enter Camp Bow Wow's® Bad to the Bone Sweepstakes for a chance to win a free iPad 2.

Also on the brand's Facebook page, users can enter Camp Bow Wow's® Bad to the Bone: Worst Behaved Dog Contest and nominate and vote for North America's naughtiest dog. The contest ends on May 18th, with one lucky grand prize winner to receive a free year of Camp Bow Wow® or Home Buddies services and free Behavior Buddies training to help rehabilitate their problem pooch.

"We are thrilled about the launch of Camp Bow Wow's new Facebook game," notes Heidi Ganahl, CEO and Founder of Camp Bow Wow. "It is extremely cool to finally see Scout come to life in this fun, interactive way and we believe that our customers and general Facebook users will feel the same."
