Canada's Most Popular Specialty Coffees Now Poured Over Ice

Tim Hortons new espresso Iced Lattes now available at just $2

April 23, 2012 // // OAKVILLE, ON - Today, Tim Hortons announces a refreshing new addition to its line of Tim's Café Favourites: Iced Lattes. Made with premium espresso from 100 per cent Arabica beans, fresh 2 per cent milk and poured over ice, the new Iced Lattes are now available for just $2 (small size) at participating Tim Hortons locations.

This easy-sipping drink is an ideal choice for customers looking for an afternoon pick-me-up that offers a sense of decadence.  Made with a shot of espresso, Tim Hortons Iced Lattes have a bolder coffee taste and are sweetened and served over ice.

Available in a range of flavours, the new Iced Latte selections include:

  • Regular Iced Latte
  • Flavoured Iced Latte (with a shot of caramel, vanilla, hazelnut or mint chocolate)
  • Iced Mocha Latte (with rich cocoa, whipped topping, and chocolate drizzle)
  • Iced Latte Supreme (with a shot of caramel, vanilla, hazelnut or mint chocolate, finished with whipped topping, and chocolate drizzle)

Starting at just $2, these beverages offer Tim Hortons' guests a delectable choice, at a value price.

"After the successful launch  of our hot lattes this past fall, we knew an iced collection would be a cooling and welcome new addition to our summer menu," said Dave McKay, director of brand marketing for beverages, Tim Hortons. "Tim Hortons Iced Lattes are a new and refreshing espresso based beverage - a great addition to our line of Tim's Cafe Favourites".

According to The NPD Group, a leading market research company , 157 million cold specialty coffees were served in Canada in 2011  and nearly three out of every four were served  at Tim Hortons.   

With a coffee heritage that began with a single store opening in Hamilton, Ont. in 1964, today, Tim Hortons serves eight out of every ten cups of coffee sold at quick-service restaurants in Canada and two billion cups of coffee a year in North America, across more than 4,000 locations.
