Gray Plant Mooty’s Mike Cohen Earns Certified Information Privacy Professional Credential

April 26, 2012 // Franchising.com // MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.  — The law firm of Gray Plant Mooty is pleased to announce that attorney Michael R. Cohen has been certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) as a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP).
 
The IAPP is the world’s largest association of privacy professionals. The CIPP certification was established in 2004 and has since become the preeminent credential in the privacy field. The certification covers a wide variety of subject matter, including personal data protection laws, the regulation of marketing practices, data breach notification laws, and workplace privacy laws.

Cohen is a principal with Gray Plant Mooty. His practice focuses on advising businesses and organizations on transactions involving intellectual property, information technology, e-commerce, and data privacy laws. He represents clients in the acquisition, development, manufacture, marketing, licensing, and distribution of products and services.

Cohen, who received his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School, is a frequent lecturer and author on topics related to his practice. His publications include:
