Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth to Receive Donation from Aire Serv

Fort Worth Homeowner and Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth benefit from Aire Serv Sweepstakes

Fort Worth, TX (PRWEB) April 27, 2012 - Aire Serv LLC will be donating $8,000 to the Ronald McDonald House of Forth Worth during a check presentation at 12:30 p.m. on May 1 at the Ronald McDonald House located at 1004 7th Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104.

Aire Serv, a North American heating, air conditioning and ventilation company, ran a sweepstakes with Aire Serv franchises throughout the U.S. and Canada that allowed homeowners a chance to win a heating and air conditioning system. For every 10,000 entries submitted, $1,000 would be donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities location in the winning entrants area.

Joanne Collmar, the winning entrant in Fort Worth, received a heating and air conditioning system valued at $12,000, which included an air conditioning unit and gas furnace donated by Lennox, thermostat, filtration system, maintenance agreement and more.

“This sweepstakes not only benefited a homeowner in need of a new, energy efficient heating and air conditioning system, but helped out a great organization to continue helping families in need,” said Kelvin Rogers, owner of Aire Serv of Fort Worth franchise. “Each House depends on volunteers and donations from the community to operate, so to say I was excited to hear our local Forth Worth House would benefit from the sweepstakes was an understatement.”

“This is a unique opportunity for our House,” said Jennifer Johns, executive director of the Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth. “Aire Serv is truly exhibiting how corporations can partner with the non-profit sector through this type of sweepstakes. Our organization relies heavily on the generosity of corporations, individuals and foundations as only 10 percent of our operating budget comes from the Ronald McDonald House Charities®. This gift provides significant support to our daily operations, and we are extremely grateful.”

Ronald McDonald Houses worldwide provide a “home-away-from-home” for families of children who are receiving medical treatment in local hospitals. The Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth was established in 1981 and is built on the simple idea that when a family is focused on healing their child, nothing else should matter – not where they can afford to stay, where their next meal will come from, or where they will lay their head to rest at night. When a child is hospitalized, the love and support of family can be just as powerful as the strongest medicine.
