Togo’s Announces Grand Opening Event for New Location in Lathrop, California

Franchisee Brings Big, Made-to-Order Sandwiches to Community’s Beloved Travel Plaza

May 07, 2012 // Franchising.com // LATHROP, CA – Togo’s Eateries, Inc., a “West Coast Original” since 1971 serving up big, made-to-order sandwiches stuffed with the freshest ingredients, announced today a special grand opening event at its newest location at Joe’s Travel Plaza (15600 S. Harland Road) in Lathrop, California. The restaurant and entire travel plaza is owned by local resident Prem Dhoot, whose family bought the beloved site in 1993 and has completely rebuilt and rebranded it.

The grand opening event is Sunday, May 6th from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. The community is invited to enjoy music and a radio remote with KAT Country 103, prizes and giveaways from Togo’s and ExtraMile, as well as support Lathrop High School’s seniors. Twenty percent of Togo’s net sales on May 6th will be donated to support sober graduation. In celebration, Texaco/Chevron gas will be available for $2.99/gallon from noon – 2 p.m.

The new 900 ft. Togo’s opened its doors on March 21st with Togo’s new store prototype, which highlights the deli inspired one-on-one style service Togo’s guests receive, and showcases fresh food with reach-in glass refrigerators, see-through counters, and vibrant new décor.

Togo’s Eateries are known for their superior quality ingredients including California avocados mashed daily, abundant quantities of high-quality meats and Artisan breads. The new Lathrop location features a menu highlighting Togo’s top selling freshly sliced hot #9 Pastrami Sandwich along side the popular #24 Turkey and Avocado as well as fresh salads, soups and wraps.
