Seattle Jamba Juice Stores To Deliver Nearly 17,000 Smoothies for National Teacher Appreciation Week

Weeklong smoothie deliveries will surprise teachers and staff at over 220 schools in the Seattle area.

Seattle, Washington (PRWEB) May 08, 2012 - Local Seattle Jamba Juice® franchise operator, PB Swann LLC, announced yesterday that from May 7 to May 11 during National Teacher Appreciation Week, participating Jamba Juice stores in Seattle will blend and deliver a variety of 16 ounce smoothies to nearly 17,000 teachers and administrative staff members in the Puget Sound area. The smoothie deliveries are part of the Seattle Jamba Juice stores’ efforts to recognize and honor teachers for the important role they play in students’ lives.

Participating Seattle Jamba Juice stores partnered with the local Parent Teachers Association and Parent Teacher Organization, as well as school principals and administrators, to coordinate the National Teacher Appreciation Week smoothie delivery. While this is the inaugural year of the program, the local Seattle Jamba Juice stores plan to make this an annual tradition.

“The patronage and support for Jamba shown by our local fans has been tremendous,” said Chris Toney, Director of Operations, PB Swann LLC, the Jamba Juice franchisee who led the effort. “So, it is with pleasure that we take this opportunity to recognize and honor teachers and staff for their dedication to our students every day.”

This is not the first time Seattle’s Jamba Juice stores have reached out to support their local fans. As highly active supporters of their local communities, the Seattle area Jamba Juice franchise stores gave back more than $55,000 to schools and non-profit organizations last year.

Starting Monday, participating Jamba Juice stores in Seattle started delivering smoothies and free smoothie coupons to over 220 K-12 schools and will continue do so throughout the week. To maintain an element of surprise, the schools receiving smoothies will not be announced ahead of time.
