Wyndham Hotel Group Expands Ramada Brand in Peru With Hoteles Costa del Sol

PARSIPPANY, NJ--(Marketwire - May 9, 2012) - Wyndham Hotel Group, the world's largest hotel company with over 7,150 hotels today announced an agreement with Hoteles Costa del Sol to franchise three new Ramada Hotels in Peru, thereby expanding the brand's presence in the South American country to four locations.

The three hotels, scheduled to fly the Ramada brand flag this week, add to the nearly 90 properties and over 9,000 rooms that are already part of Wyndham Hotel Group's portfolio of hotels in Latin America.

"It serves as a prime example of how we intend to significantly grow our presence across Latin America by affiliating existing portfolios and national hotel chains in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Peru and Mexico, which are our key growth markets."

The agreement with Hoteles Costa del Sol broadens the Ramada brand portfolio with coastal and inland properties in some of the most beautiful and well-traveled locations in Peru including Cusco, Tumbes and Chiclayo.

Hoteles Costa del Sol currently owns and operates the Ramada Costa del Sol Lima Airport Hotel. This 2012 second runner-up Ramada hotel of the year is located just a few steps from the Jorge Chavez Lima - Callao International Airport. The 130-room property boasts a 24-hour restaurant, bar, spa, fitness room, meeting facilities, free buffet breakfast, free wireless internet access and a pedestrian bridge that conveniently connects its guests to the airport.

With a structure that dates back to the 17th century, the Ramada Costa del Sol Cusco is a colonial-era mansion that accentuates the history of the property while embracing modernity. The hotel currently features 77 spacious rooms, a bar, restaurant, free buffet breakfast, wireless internet access and a period-styled meeting room adorned with antique murals. Threads of history mark the property, as well as the town, as Cusco is known worldwide as the gateway to Machu Picchu, the premier ancient attraction of Peru.

The Ramada Costa del Sol Tumbes is a 55-room hotel situated in the heart of the city, near the Ecuadorian border. Surrounded by the beauty of the "City of Eternal Summer," as the city is often referred to, the hotel features a restaurant, bar, fitness room with a personal trainer and a casino, free buffet breakfast, free wireless internet access, meeting facilities and a full-size pool.

Located in the center of Chiclayo's financial and commercial district, the Ramada Costa del Sol Chiclayo is an 82-room hotel situated just a short walk from the Plaza de Armas, the central square located in the heart of the city.
