Maaco In Aston, Pa., Refurbishes Van For Chester County Historical Society

Franchise Owners - Former Corporate Employees - Give Back To Community While Doubling Center Sales

King Of Prussia, PA (Grassroots Newswire) May 16, 2012 – Maaco in Aston, Pa., presented Chester County Historical Society President Dr. Robert Lukens with a refurbished van on May 15. Frank and Michelle Costello, owner-operators of the Maaco center, formerly worked as Vice President of Real Estate and Contracts Administrator at MAACO Franchising, Inc., in nearby King of Prussia. Since buying the franchise last year they have put the Maaco system into practice, doubling sales and giving back to the community. Previously, they had hosted a car wash fundraiser and provided other generous support to the Children's Miracle Network at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

“This donation helped our non-profit historical organization immensely," Lukens commented. "As a history museum and historical library, we regularly transport historical items, ranging from agricultural equipment and rare furniture to fragile flags and documents,” Dr. Lukens said. “We’re grateful to Frank and Michelle for their generous support in donating the needed repair work. The van is thirteen years old, and had multiple dings, paint needs, and mechanical issues.”

“We didn’t hesitate when we were approached by the Historical Society,” Frank Costello said. “The van is important to their goals of collecting, preserving, exhibiting and interpreting the history of Chester County. Michelle and I feel it is important to give back to the community and the Historical Society that give us and our residents so much.”
