The Fast-Casual Restaurant Chain Will Open its Second Restaurant in Boston

Tossed® Adds Some Green to Boston's Financial District with New Eatery: Serving Fresh Made-to-Order Gourmet Salads, Crepe Wraps, Grilled Panini, Sandwiches and Hot Soups.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., May 22, 2012 // PRNewswire // -- Soon Bostonians will have a more convenient dining option with the opening of a second Tossed® eatery, proclaiming "Fresh Food Fast" in the Financial District. "Guests at the Prudential Center love our array of diverse menu choices," said Brain Hanseth the new owner and Area Developer. Tossed is known for design your own garden fresh salads, but is also being recognized for its crepe wraps, grilled Panini, spectacular sandwiches, hot soups and great breakfast items. Brian Hanseth, who lives in Hingham with his wife Dana and two children, had worked in the Financial District until his love for Tossed grew so much he quit work and acquired the rights to develop the entire greater Boston market. After purchasing the restaurant at the "Pru," he's proud to announce that soon he'll be opening the newest Tossed location in Boston at One Post Office Square in the heart of the Financial District. Hanseth continues, "With a second location and a service oriented catering program we're dedicated to offering fellow Bostonians fresh food in either a comfortable and convenient environment, or in their own office to save time or escape the weather."

"Guests in Boston seem to really love what Tossed offers, and the new location in the Financial District will give them greater accessibility to Tossed's fresh, and delicious food choices," saidJason Chodash, President of Tossed Franchise Corporation. "We look forward to serving my old 'stomping ground' and I know it will become instantly popular, as we were all bored with the same old places to eat," said Brian Hanseth.

Tossed has been a part of the Boston restaurant scene, but soon will become a more active member of the community with "home grown" ownership. In 2011, Bostonian Sarah Wilson won the chain's National Salad Contest with her recipe for Chicken Caprese Salad, and it was so well-received the salad became a regularly featured item on the national menu. The Hanseths are hoping one of the Boston guests will emerge victorious this year and make it back to back "championships" for Team Tossed Boston.

"Bostonians clearly have embraced our Eat Smart Think Fresh philosophy and that's reflected in Tossed's continued success here," said Jason Chodash, President of Tossed Franchise Corporation. "We are excited to offer them a broad and diverse number of food choices, as well as being dedicated to giving both loyal followers, and new guests a number of healthy and a few decadent options also."

Tossed promotes both the "Eat Smart Think Fresh" and the "Fresh Food Fast" philosophy for busy guests who want high quality food at a great value served quickly with exceptional guest service. Its web site, which allows diners to order online for pickup or delivery, also offers a nutritional calculator that was named one of the 50 Great Ideas by Restaurant Business Magazine. The calculator lets diners generate nutritional information for their salads as they're being built. Tossed's menu includes gluten-free options.
