Pollo Tropical® Partnering With Florida Zoos This June By Offering Free Family Meals For Family Zoo Memberships

MIAMI, May 24, 2012 // PRNewswire // -- Pollo Tropical® is going wild this summer by offering free Create Your Own Family Meals to support zoos within the state of Florida. Anyone who joins or renews a family-category zoo membership (or above) at Zoo Miami, Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens or Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo, will receive a free Pollo Tropical Create Your Own Family Meal, complete with a whole marinated grilled chicken, four rolls and choice of any two sides. The offer is valued at more than $16 and is valid through June 30, 2012.

The zoo memberships are valid for one year and include unlimited zoo admission, invitations to members-only events and previews, gift shop discounts, educational programs, summer camp discounts, free subscriptions to zoo magazines and more.

In addition to Pollo Tropical's grilled chicken, zoo members redeeming the family meal offer can choose from many freshly-made sides including white rice & beans, yellow rice with vegetables, boiled yucca with a garlic "mojo" sauce, Caesar salad, balsamic tomatoes and other regional favorites.
"Families are among our biggest fans at Pollo Tropical. We are always finding new, affordable ways for our guests to play and eat together as a family. Much like our family meals, zoo memberships are some of the best family deals around," said Danny Meisenheimer, Chief Brand Officer for Pollo Tropical.

About The Zoological Society of Florida (ZSF)

The Zoological Society of Florida (ZSF) is the non-profit support organization for Zoo Miami. ZSF was founded in 1956, when the Zoo was located in Crandon Park, Key Biscayne. Starting in the mid-Sixties, Zoo members spearheaded a campaign to include plans for a bigger, better zoo on the Dade County "Decade of Progress" bond issue. Voters approved the bond in 1972, and nine years later Zoo Miami opened its gates to the public at its current location.

About Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens

With over 1,500 animals, lush botanical gardens and a growing number of special attractions, there's always something new to see and do here at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens. Members are free to explore and enjoy the Zoo as often as they like, all year long. It's a great way to save money and make memories. Membership includes free admission as well as special invitations to exclusive members-only events throughout the year. Membership isn't just great for the family - it benefits the whole zoo. Memberships are an important source of funding for the zoo - they help support the day-to-day demands of animal care, as well as wildlife conservation, education and research efforts. That makes you a partner in our conservation efforts around the world!
