Kathy Noecker of Faegre Baker Daniels Named Industry Leader

Minneapolis - 25-May-2012 - Kathlyn (Kathy) E. Noecker, a partner at Faegre Baker Daniels LLP, has been named one of 26 Industry Leaders in the Twin Cities by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal as part of the publication's annual Women in Business Awards.

Noecker was selected as an industry leader based on her noteworthy professional achievements, leadership qualities and position at the forefront of her profession. As a partner in the labor and employment group at Faegre Baker Daniels, she advises employers and boards of directors regarding complex workplace issues and partners with clients to develop compliance strategies that reduce business and legal risks arising from the employment relationship.

Noecker has held a variety of leadership roles at the firm, including service as head of the Faegre Baker Daneils labor and employment practice group, a practice that is among the top 20 largest such practices in the nation. She was elected to the firm's Management Board in 2010 and currently serves on its four-person Executive Committee.

Throughout her career, Noecker has been active in providing pro bono legal services to individuals and non-profit organizations in the Minneapolis community. She is a founding team member — and has served as co-team leader — of Faegre Baker Daniels' Minnesota Indian Women's Resource Center (MIWRC) Legal Clinic team. Faegre Baker Daniels established the MIWRC Legal Clinic in March of 1994, and every week volunteers provide low-income American Indian families (mostly female-heads of households) with pro bono legal advice and representation in civil legal matters.

"I consider it a great honor to be recognized alongside this group of exceptionally talented and accomplished women," commented Noecker. "Faegre Baker Daniels has been a wonderful place to practice law and I have had great support from so many dedicated clients and colleagues."

Noecker graduated from the Georgetown University Law Center, magna cum laude, and received a bachelor's degree from the College of St. Catherine.

All Women in Business award winners are profiled in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal's "Women in Business" special publication.
