Major Minneapolis Hotel and Conference Center gets $5 Million Renovation. All of the upscale enhancements are part of phase One of the InterContinental Hotels Group multi-million dollar refresh of the Crowne Plaza brand.
Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) May 30, 2012 - The Crowne Plaza Minneapolis West has a fresh new look, thanks to a nearly-complete $ 5 million renovation. Just 15 minutes from downtown Minneapolis in the western suburb of Plymouth, the multi award-winning hotel and conference center boasts 38 meeting and event rooms with more than 38,000 square feet of total meeting space. All meeting spaces have undergone a complete renovation including ceiling, lighting and audio visual systems, as well as new carpets, window treatments and wall vinyl.
As one of the major conference center hotels in the Minneapolis market for the past 25 years, the hotel offers the Crowne Plaza brand’s Comprehensive Meetings Program, which meeting planners won’t find at any other hotel in the western Minneapolis market. The program includes a two hour response guarantee, a personal Crowne Meetings Director and a daily meeting debrief. The bedrooms boast new fabric and a wood sculptured head board designed and manufactured by a local company, Lang & Hunt. One of the Brand Hallmark’s of Crowne Plaza is their Sleep Advantage package!® This includes the Beauty Rest World Class mattress which is layered with a mattress topper, mattress pad and then adorned with triple sheeted 250 thread count linens. A blanket and Coverlet along with synthetic and feather down pillows are layered in and the ensemble is completed with bolster pillow and matching bed skirt and scarf. Guest rooms are in color tones of Turkish coffee, mossy gold, high tea green and harmonic tans. The very modern and sleek design also includes a brown leather chair in each guestroom as well as ergonomic desk chair. Extra outlets are provided at the desk level as well as in the lamp lighting at the desk and bedside. All guestrooms include a 42-inch flat panel television, and High Definition is in the process of being installed, with expected completion by May of 2012.
Wired and wireless high speed Internet access is complimentary in all guest rooms as well as public spaces. The Crowne Plaza also offers a complimentary shuttle within 10 mile radius of hotel, free grab and go breakfast, a 24-hour contemporary business center, along with the 21, 000 square foot Athletic Club.
