Great Clips® Ranks # 17 On "Forbes Top 20 Franchises For The Buck" Survey

Great Clips, the world’s largest hair care brand was recognized by Forbes as the 17th “Best Franchise for the Buck” out of 110 well known franchise systems.

(PRWEB) June 08, 2012 - Great Clips, the world’s largest hair care brand was recognized by Forbes as the 17th “best franchise for the buck” out of 110 well known franchise systems.

Forbes, with the assistance of the World Franchising Network, based their evaluation criteria on five variables:

  • Estimated minimum initial investment
  • Total locations
  • Growth throughout U.S. for past 3 years
  • Closure rates in U.S. for past 3 years
  • Training hours offered to new franchisees.

“We are honored to be recognized for inclusion in this premier franchise group,” said Rob Goggins, Senior Vice President of Real Estate and Development. “For more than 30 years, Great Clips has been helping individuals fulfill their dreams of becoming an entrepreneur and owning their own business.”

The company continually incorporates technology into its franchise operations to reduce customer wait times and increase customer retention. For example, in 2011, Great Clips launched a new online check-in service that enables customers to book appointments remotely to reduce wait times and keep their customers happy. In 2012, over 200,000 customers per month use this service and 80,000 customers download the “online check-in” application per month.

In addition to the Forbes’ recognition, Great Clips was recently distinguished by FranNet, the nation’s leading franchise broker, as its # 1 franchisor. “Great Clips is a solid company, and we are proud to do business with them,” says Todd Bingham, FranNet Vice President of Operations. ““It’s impressive that, after 20 years with FranNet, Great Clips can still make the top of the list. That’s a testimonial to the strength of their business concept.”
