Window Genie of Pasco County Teams Up With Local Charity Lifting Hearts 2gether

Brian and Toni Olmsted of Window Genie Pasco County give back to the community through their partnership with Lifting Hearts 2gether, local charity founded by Jeff and Maryellen Keller.

Tampa, Florida (PRWEB) June 16, 2012 - Window Genie is the Cincinnati based franchisor of home services known to “Clean Windows and a Whole Lot More!” Doing a whole lot more now includes giving back to the community through the new program, Windows 4 Wishes. Lifting Hearts 2gether offers financial assistance for individuals in the community who struggle to pay medical bills and other expenses. Lifting Hearts 2gether will raise money at their first big fundraiser on June 24 for the family of fallen officer, Deputy Jason Shoula.

Window Genie’s culture is defined by 5 foundational pillars, one being “community service.” Supported by the corporate initiative Windows 4 Wishes, each locally owned and operated Window Genie location owner will choose an organization/charity to benefit in their community. With Windows 4 Wishes, there are four ways in which a franchisee can give back to the organization/charity of their choice: donate money, volunteer their time, promote that organization for free and/or offer free Window Genie services.

Brian and Toni Olmsted of Window Genie in Pasco County decided to partner with a new charitable organization in their area, Lifting Hearts 2gether. Founded by Maryellen and Jeff Keller, Lifting Hearts 2gether is an organization that offers financial aid to those in their area struggling to pay their bills. Operating strictly through volunteers, Lifting Hearts 2gether is able to give 100% of donated funds to their chosen recipient. “We mean that, 100 percent. We honestly get back more than we ever give because it’s from our hearts and you can’t put a price-tag on that,” said Maryellen of her charity’s mission.

The Olmsteds met the Kellers last year when Brian’s band was playing at a fundraiser put on by another charity the Kellers were previously involved with. “We had a friend go through some hard times financially while dealing with cancer, so we reached out to the Kellers for help. We really loved the concept of what they were doing so we set out to form and maintain a relationship with them,” said Olmsted of him and his wife’s connection with the Kellers.

On May 5 at The Monkey Bar in Clearwater, Brian presented the Kellers with a check for $150 on behalf of Window Genie towards the $800 total they need to apply and qualify as an official, legal 501c3 tax-exempt charity. While on stage, he and his band introduced and explained Lifting Hearts 2gether to the patrons and bartenders who ended up giving an additional $50. “We were amazed at the generosity of strangers and are so thankful to have Brian on our side, he has been so supportive,” said Maryellen.
