Firehouse Subs Says Aloha to Pork & Slaw LTO

June 21, 2012 // Franchising.com // Available as a Limited Time Offer (LTO) menu item, Firehouse Subs® announces the addition of the King's Hawaiian® Pork & Slaw sandwich at all 515 Firehouse Subs restaurants. Breaking sales records in Jacksonville, Fla., Greenville/Spartanburg, S.C., and Phoenix, Ariz., Firehouse Subs recognized consumer appeal and decided to offer the flavorful fare nationwide.

King's Hawaiian Pork & Slaw combines hardwood smoked pork and Sargento® pepper jack cheese, steamed to perfection, then topped with homemade tangy Hawaiian coleslaw piled high on a King's Hawaiian Original Hawaiian Sweet sandwich bun.

This is the first time King's Hawaiian, whose founders created the recipe for Original Hawaiian Sweet Bread, and whose dinner rolls are the No. 1 brand in the country, has partnered with a national restaurant chain on their sandwich buns.

To entice customers, Firehouse Subs is hosting a contest with video submissions for a chance to win a trip for two to the Hilton Waikoloa Village on the Big Island of Hawaii.

Requirements:

  • Videos must be 90 seconds or less and proclaim love for the new the King's Hawaiian Pork & Slaw sandwich in a creative way
  • Fans must submit videos through Firehouse Subs "Win A Trip To Hawaii" Facebook App or the MicroSite
  • Videos can not be submitted until July 3, 2012
  • The winners will be chosen by Firehouse Subs Founders Chris Sorensen and Robin Sorensen
