June 25, 2012 // Franchising.com // Bar-B-Cutie and Team Rio teamed up this year to help raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee. The organization provides services to children throughout Middle Tennessee geared to fulfill their mission: provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-tone relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.
Team Rio is a dedicated group of runners and walkers who train with a purpose for the Nashville Country Music Marathon. It is headed by celebrity running Captains Marty Roe and Jimmy Olander of Diamond Rio. This year was their 8th year raising pledges.
Bar-B-Cutie was honored to be asked to participate with sponsoring the Team Rio Shoe Pinup Sales. It was their first year to be involved with these two organizations and to sponsor the event. During the month of April, the 8 Middle Tennessee locations sold shoe pinups for a $1 donation. The walls of these Bar-B-Cuties were covered with shoes purchased by customers bearing their names. This endeavor helped raise approximately $5,000 for the organization. Bar-B-Cutie also offered support for Team Rio’s fundraising efforts through advertising in Social media markets, and provided food for a much deserved after race dinner for the race participants.
Bar-B-Cutie would like to thank all their customers for their generous donations and they look forward to an even better year next year.
