Realogy Brands' Franchisees and Company-Owned Offices Earn 40% of Spots on The Wall Street Journal/REAL Trends

Top 1,000 Real Estate Agents and Teams

June 25, 2012 // Franchising.com // PARSIPPANY, N.J. - The 2012 Wall Street Journal/REAL Trends reportreleased today ranks America's Top 1,000 residential real estate agents and teams based on 2011 annual sales volume and transaction sides.  Sales professionals affiliated with Realogybrands' franchisees and company-owned offices earned 407 spots (40 percent) of the total professionals named in this seventh annual ranking report. 

Realogy's franchise brands include Better Homes and Gardens® Real Estate, CENTURY 21®, Coldwell Banker®, ERA®, Sotheby's International Realty®, and its subsidiary,NRT LLC, operates Realogy’s company-owned real estate brokerage offices, including The Corcoran Group®.

"Each year, sales professionals affiliated with a Realogy brand have significant representation on this prestigious ranking, and we are proud of their results," said Richard A. Smith, chairman, CEO and president of Realogy. "The true beneficiaries of their efforts are their home buyers and sellers."

The Thousand Top Real Estate Professionals rankings feature four separate categories honoring the Top 250 Agents by Sales Volume; Top 250 Agents by Transaction Sides, Top 250 Teams by Sales Volume, and Top 250 Teams by Transaction Sides.

Agents and teams affiliated with NRT and the independently owned and operated franchisees of the Realogy Franchise Group accounted for: 

• 144 of the Top 250 Agents by Transaction Sides (57 percent)
• 141 of the Top 250 Agents by Sales Volume (56 percent)
•   72 of the Top 250 Teams by Sales Volume (29 percent)
•   50 of the Top 250 Teams by Transaction Sides (20 percent)

Sales associates affiliated with NRT garnered 44 percent (111) of the spots within the Top 250 Agents by Sales Volume. In aggregate, NRT accounted for approximately 20 percent (196) of the total agents and teams in the rankings.

Coldwell Banker earned more spots than any other brand on the nationwide rankings, with 218 spots across the four categories, and held the most overall spots in individual agent sales volume (71) and individual agent sides (69).

As shown below, 25 percent (10) of the Top 10 spots across the four categories are held by agents and teams affiliated with a Realogy brand or company-owned brokerage (NRT):
