July 06, 2012 // Franchising.com // Ottawa, ON – After weeks of renovations, the Giant Tiger store in Simcoe, Ontario will finally reveal its new look on Saturday, July 7, 2012. This store located at 150 West Street showcases just under 20,000 sq.ft. of selling space and has received special attention to the interior decor, merchandising and signage, making this “new store experience” sure to impress.
Doors will open on Saturday at 8 a.m. after a ribbon cutting ceremony highlighting the event. As our connection to the community is at the core of the Giant Tiger brand, a charity barbecue offering a hot dog and a drink for one dollar ($1) will be held throughout the day, with all proceeds raised to support “Annaleise’s Radical Crossing” (Camp Trillium).
“Our team was happy to work around the renovations, assisting wherever they could and I am very appreciative of their efforts” says Store Owner, Dwayne Good. “Our customers had to put up with a few inconveniences over those few weeks but nobody seemed to mind. The end result certainly is worthwhile. Customers will love our new store, especially knowing that they will also enjoy the same low prices and outstanding value they’ve come to expect from Giant Tiger.”
There is an exciting day planned for Saturday, filled with fun for the entire family including gift card giveaways to the first fifty customers in store, the Simcoe Fire Department will be on-site, strolling entertainment, free coffee & cake, face painting, temporary paw tattoos and even a visit from the Giant Tiger himself!
