July 10, 2012 // Franchising.com // Tampa, FL - Pillar To Post is reinforcing its position as the largest home inspection franchise in North America, opening 21 new franchises from Jan. to June in 2012, bringing the total number of franchises to over 400. Ranked in the top 10 percent of all franchises nationwide, this strong growth is due in part to the solid business model that brings electronic inspection reports to the home inspection industry, the need for qualified home inspection professionals and from the company’s incentive offerings for military veterans.
Pillar To Post has been actively recruiting veterans, including two new 2012 franchisees. June 2012’s newest franchisees include Matt Gahagan, serving Billings, Mont.; Alan Bridier in Baton Rouge, La.; Tom Ciccone of Orange County, Calif.; Reid Abel in Birmingham, Ala; Dan Niemi in Memphis, Tenn.; Michel Normand of Ottawa, Ontario; and Greg DuPey, serving Chester, Bucks and Montgomery Counties in Pennsylvania.
Since the company began franchising, Pillar To Post has opened hundreds of franchises, including 125 veteran-owned locations. The home inspection company was also recently named a 2012 Military Friendly Franchise by G.I. Jobs for the third year in a row and named one of the best franchises for vets by Entrepreneur magazine. Pillar To Post offers military vets 10 percent off the initial franchising fee when they sign—a $1,500 savings—and service members are also offered in-house financing. Pillar To Post also works with the Military Warriors Support Foundation to provide initial home inspections for houses that will be donated to veterans.
“Military personnel coming home from active duty have a vast skill set that not many civilians receive in their occupational training,” said Dan Steward, president and CEO of Pillar To Post. “We’re happy to offer incentives to veterans and to give vets an opportunity to become business owners with us.”
Founded in 1994, Pillar To Post is now the largest home inspection company in North America, located in 44 states and 8 Canadian provinces, with over 400 franchisees. Pillar To Post added 20 new franchises in 2011. The company expects to more than double that number in 2012; long-term plans include adding 500-600 new franchisees over the next five years. Pillar To Post ranked 215 on Entrepreneur Magazine’s 2012 Franchise 500 rankings. For more information, please visit www.pillartopostfranchise.com.
