Franchising Executive, Gary Prenevost, Joins the ifranchise Group

Ontario-Based 25-Year Veteran of Banking, Entrepreneurship, and Franchising Will Advise iFranchise Group Clients in Canada

July 12, 2012 // Franchising.com // HOMEWOOD, IL -- The iFranchise Group (www.ifranchisegroup.com), North America’s leading franchise consulting firm, announced today that franchising executive Gary Prenevost has joined the firm in a senior advisor role and will head the iFranchise Group’s Toronto office. Mr. Prenevost will lend his knowledge and experience, based on two decades in the franchising industry, to the firm's clients and consulting projects in his native Canada.

"Our franchisor clients located in or seeking to do business in Canada will be well-served by his background and experience.” With the addition of Mr. Prenevost, the iFranchise Group now has nearly 30 franchise consultants with over 500 years of combined experience in franchising. Their consultants have worked with or for 98 of the nation’s top 200 franchisors.

Mr. Prenevost has worked on all sides of franchising over the last two decades, as franchisee, franchisor, master franchisee, and franchise consultant/broker. For the last 10 years, he has acted as the president of FranNet of Southern Ontario and built it into a top-performing regional franchise of FranNet, an internationally recognized franchise consulting/matchmaking company that helps prospective franchisees identify, research, and buy the right franchise. He is also a board member of the Canadian Franchise Association.

Prior to his work with FranNet, Mr. Prenevost led a career that began in banking, specializing in business turn-arounds, and that also included a successful stint as an entrepreneur, helping to build a family-run business through corporate sales and acquisitions of other companies.

Having also worked as both a corporate executive and franchise owner for a national training organization with over 100 offices, Mr. Prenevost also spent a number of years coaching hundreds of entrepreneurs and business executives, helping them grow their businesses and implement management and/or sales development strategies.
