Yogurt Mountain Expands into Northeast

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Yogurt Mountain, LLC, today announced that America’s Favorite Yogurt Store™, Yogurt Mountain®, is coming to the New York metro area and is actively looking for available sites and prospective franchisees in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

Yogurt Mountain is a self-serve frozen yogurt concept with 42 current stores in 15 states based in Birmingham, AL. Known for its proprietary yogurt recipes (S’mores, Blue Cotton Candy, Blueberry Cheesecake, and Green Slime, among others), the YOMOBILE customer-loyalty program, innovative products like the YoQuake blended dessert and unique toppings from around the world, Yogurt Mountain has set the standard for the frozen yogurt industry.

“Anyone can have an ordinary frozen yogurt store, but Yogurt Mountain takes every detail of the customer experience into account when planning our product selection, branding and marketing,” said David Kahn, President and CEO of Yogurt Mountain. “Our franchisees are part of something unique and we are excited to find opportunities to expand our brand into the Northeast. Yogurt Mountain has a strong presence in the Southeast and Midwest and we look forward to our continued growth up the east coast.”

Brian Robinson, Vice President of Franchising for Yogurt Mountain said, “Due to the enormous publicity we’ve received in magazines like last July’s Fortune Magazine or CNNMoney.com’s feature on David Kahn, Yogurt Mountain’s success story has generated a lot of interest in our franchise program inside the state of New York. We’re glad we can now accommodate the demand in not only New York, but almost every state. We look forward to bringing the Yogurt Mountain experience to the northeast in full-force.”
