Green Friendly Massage Green Spas a Hit in Northern Florida; Second Spa Announced

JACKSONVILLE, FL - (Marketwire - Jul 17, 2012) - Affordable Luxury. That's the tagline for Massage Green -- a green-friendly franchise chain of spas that offers massages starting at $29.95 for one hour. And according to local franchise owner Grayson Marshall and his wife Darlene, the concept is really resonating with local residents. So much so, that they believe there's room for much more growth and additional locations.

"We're growing at 30 percent a year," explained Darlene Marshall, who operates the Massage Green spa here with her husband Grayson.

"We're committed to adding another spa in the very near future, business is that good."

Veteran franchise expert, Allie Mallad of Farmington Hills, MI, says there is room for extraordinary growth in Florida for Massage Green. "The Marshall's are classic examples of great entrepreneurs in our growing system," Mallad said.

Grayson Marshall, a member of the Clemson University Athletic Hall of Fame, met Mallad through a direct sales nutritional product venture and the pair hit it off. The Marshalls opened Florida's first Massage Green in 2009. Darlene left a career in telecommunications to join her entrepreneur husband, and today they employ nearly 20 people, including their daughter Amber who serves as manager.

"Grayson uses many of the team concepts he learned in sports to operate our business," Darlene Marshall said.

Allie Mallad, formerly the largest Little Caesar's franchise operator, said the Massage Green template offers an affordable, green friendly franchise concept for entrepreneurs.

"We hire only the best, health-conscious, certified massage therapists," says Darlene. "The only thing holding us back is finding enough qualified masseuses to meet the growing demand. There is definitely no lack of job opportunities in this profession around here."

Massage Green continues to grow with franchise units in Southeastern Michigan, Texas and California, and plans for 1,000 nationally within eight years. Each Massage Green unit will employ 20-30 people.
