Jamba Juice Celebrates Opening of Twenty-First Airport Location; New Franchise Store Opens in McCarran International Airport, Las Vegas

Company Growth Continues in Non-Traditional Formats

EMERYVILLE, Calif. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Jul. 30, 2012 - Jamba Juice Company (NASDAQ: JMBA), a leading healthy, active lifestyle brand, announced today the opening of its first franchise store at McCarran International Airport, Las Vegas, representing the twenty-first airport location to open globally as Jamba® expands its presence in more non-traditional venues.

The McCarran International Airport store is located in Southwest Airlines Terminal C, near gate C-25 and offers a menu of more than 30 blended-to-order, delicious whole fruit and fruit and vegetable renowned Jamba Juice® smoothies, fresh squeezed juices and juice blends, and hot tea and coffee, complemented by Jamba’s exclusive baked good, snacks, and meal offerings including California Flatbreads™, home style, slow cooked hot oatmeal made with organic steel cut oats, hot breakfast wraps, mini-wraps, and bistro sandwiches. The location is open from 4:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. based on flight schedules. This store also offers a 10% discount for all military personnel in uniform.

This is the first Jamba Juice store for Hospitality Culinaire, Inc. and Executive Chef Michael Ty, a highly experienced franchise owner, who operates two additional branded concepts at McCarran Airport. Chef Ty is a widely recognized and highly accomplished Certified Executive Chef and a member of the American Academy of Chefs. He is in his third term as the American Culinary Federation (ACF) National President. In addition to his franchise and culinary leadership, Chef Ty provides event management, chef consulting, and sales and marketing of foodservice products for Chef Apparel and Hospitality Culinaire, Inc., the family managed quick-service restaurant operation responsible for the branded concepts at McCarran airport.

In 2000, Chef Ty established The ACF Chef and Child Michael Ty Endowment Fund to provide scholarship funding to recognize ACF Chefs working on the fight to end childhood hunger and educate children involved in the Chef and Child foundation programs.

Jamba expects to have more than 30 outlets in operation within transportation centers, including airports, bus, and rail terminals, by the end of 2012, building upon the Company’s initiative to launch flexible non-traditional franchise formats in travel hubs, grocery outlets, malls, and college and universities nationwide. The Company plans to develop 40 to 50 traditional and non-traditional locations within the U.S. and 10-15 international locations in 2012.
