Esri Selects New Global Industry Manager for Logistics and Supply Chain Management

August 06, 2012 // Franchising.com // Redlands, California - Wolfgang Hall, a longtime transportation and logistics professional and former business development manager of the solutions group at Esri, has been appointed as Esri's global industry solution manager for logistics and supply chain management.

With more than 20 years of transportation and logistics systems experience, Hall brings a wealth of private- and public-sector experience to his new leadership role. During his more than 13 years at Esri, he has worked with public and Fortune 500 companies as consultant and manager of transportation and logistics services. Prior to joining Esri, he worked for one of the largest suppliers of North American rail signaling systems and a German telematics provider.

"I am very excited about the opportunity to use my past experience in route optimization, mobile resource management, and business analysis in the logistics and supply chain markets," says Hall. "My passion is logistics and business process optimization, and I am looking forward to supporting our customers and partners in the United States and worldwide."

Hall believes that the use of advanced mapping and spatial analysis is still in its infancy in the logistics and supply chain industries and is convinced that GIS provides the ideal platform to unlock the optimization potential at all levels of logistics and supply chain operations.

"We welcome Wolfgang to our transportation industry team," says Terrence Bills, Esri global transportation solutions manager. "With his broad experience in GIS and logistics, he will provide help and insight for our customers to visualize, analyze, and optimize their business processes."
