Window Genie of Birmingham Joins Charitable Initiative, Asks Customers to Participate

Windows 4 Wishes, Window Genie’s system-wide give back program encourages each locally owned and operated Window Genie location to give back to their community.

Cincinnati, OH (PRWEB) August 22, 2012 - Window Genie is the Cincinnati-based franchisor of home services known to “Clean Windows and a Whole Lot More!” Doing a whole lot more includes giving back to the community through their charitable program, Windows 4 Wishes. Mike Buckentin of Window Genie Hoover has chosen to give back to The Foundry Rescue Mission and Recovery Center. He encourages customers to donate to the food drive he has set up for The Foundry, and in exchange offers a $10 Genie Bucks reward.

Window Genie’s culture is defined by five foundational pillars, one being “community citizenship.” Windows 4 Wishes is the corporate initiative encouraging community outreach amongst all Window Genie franchise owners. Each locally owned and operated Window Genie location owner will choose an organization/charity to benefit in his or her community. With Windows 4 Wishes, there are four ways in which franchisees can give back to the organization/charity of their choice: donate money, volunteer their time, promote that organization for free and/or offer free Window Genie services.

Mike Buckentin, Window Genie owner in Hoover, Alabama has chosen to give back to The Foundry Rescue Mission and Recovery Center in Bessemer.

The Foundry Rescue Mission and Recovery Center is a center of transformation including the Recovery Program, Re-Entry Program, Worship Center, SuperThrift Outlet, Auto Center, Community Outreach Center, Medical Center and Dental Center. Every day, men and women find refuge and long-term recovery in its innovative and Christ-centered programs. The Foundry’s mission statement reads: To restore hope and rebuild the lives of the addict, the ex-inmate and the destitute through Christ-centered recovery, re-entry and rescue.

Buckentin and his family have been cooking and serving meals in the men’s recovery center for over a year now. “We’ve built a great relationship with the Foundry, and plan to extend our help to the women’s center very soon,” Buckentin said. Buckentin and his team will sponsor a food drive to benefit The Foundry’s recovery and re-entry residents as well as local families who receive food boxes from the organization’s Community Outreach Center. “This is a great organization, so my team and I decided to use our business to launch a food drive. Window Genie is able to reach out to a large customer base and encourage participation and support for The Foundry.” Window Genie of Hoover’s goal is to collect 1,000 pounds of food by the end of 2012. To aid in reaching their goal, Buckentin asks customers to donate non-perishable food items in exchange for a $10 Genie Bucks reward certificate. Window Genie hopes to spread awareness of The Foundry’s mission and all they do to help those in the community who need it most.
