Chicago, IL (PRWEB) September 05, 2012 - The RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon will pay a Sept. 7 visit to Mahalia Jackson Elementary School, 917 W. 88th St., in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood of Chicago where the balloon crew will present an interactive educational program developed and sponsored by the RE/MAX metro Chicago real estate network.

The students at Jackson School will learn about various aspects of ballooning, including its history and the scientific principles involved, and they will see a demonstration on how the balloon functions.

The program will be presented twice starting at 8 a.m. in the school gymnasium to all 260 students at the school. The 75-foot-tall balloon envelope will be inflated with cold air, permitting students to walk inside it. The presentation then will conclude outdoors with a demonstration of how the balloon basket and burners operate.
