ColorTyme’s New Montgomery, Alabama Location Holds Grand Opening Event

September 12, 2012 // Franchising.com // MONTGOMERY, Ala. – ColorTyme, Inc., the nation’s first franchisor of independently owned-and-operated rent-to-own stores, celebrated the opening of its newest location in Montgomery, Alabama with a grand opening event on Saturday, Sept. 8.

“Eddie Edwards and his business partner, Derrick Vinson have enjoyed great success as ColorTyme franchisees, and under their leadership, I have no doubt this store will continue that trend,” said ColorTyme CEO Cathy Skula. “They have a tremendous commitment to providing their customers with the best products and service around, and it has shown in their continued growth.”

Over 100 members of the local community attended the event, which was held at the store’s location at 303 West Fairview Ave. and included a bounce house, food and drinks and a giveaway for a week’s stay at a vacation home in Orlando, Fla.

Since it has been open, the Montgomery location has over 130 agreements and 195 units on rent, including 32 agreements over the weekend of the grand opening. This is the fifth ColorTyme store for Edwards, and the second in Alabama. The other location is also located in Montgomery, at 3747 Eastern Blvd.

Like all ColorTyme stores, the new Montgomery location offers a variety of convenient payment plans without a credit check. The owners and staff intend to give residents a unique rental experience by creating a hometown atmosphere with superior customer service.
