Orange County Massage Envy Clinics Hold One-Day Fundraiser For Arthritis

On September 19, Your Massage or Facial Can Help Support the Arthritis Foundation

Irvine, CA (PRWEB) September 14, 2012 - Twenty-one Orange County Massage Envy clinics are teaming up with the Arthritis Foundation for a one-day national fundraiser, Healing Hands for Arthritis. On September 19th, $10 from every massage or facial session will go to the Arthritis Foundation; additionally, Murad®, Massage Envy’s skin care partner, will be donating 10% of their in-store retail sales to the same cause.

“We work every day with our hands,” said Carol Warren, owner of the Costa Mesa Massage Envy Spa. “This is a great chance for our staff to help those people whose hands are so affected by arthritis that they can hardly use them at all. This is our way of giving back to the Orange County community.”

Millions of Americans, many of them right here in Orange County, suffer from this debilitating disease and millions more may develop it in the future. Last year, Massage Envy locations all across the country raised almost half a million dollars for the Arthritis Foundation during the Healing Hands for Arthritis event.

The staffs of Massage Envy clinics will also participate in annual Arthritis Walks to raise funds and awareness for the Arthritis Foundation. Massage therapy practiced at the Massage Envy locations in Orange County has helped guests suffering from arthritis to relieve symptoms of the disease such as swelling, pain, stress and anxiety.
