First Maryland My Favorite Muffin® Now Open

DEERFIELD, Ill. - September 17, 2012 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - BAB Systems, Inc., the franchising division of BAB, Inc., (OTCBB: BABB), which franchises and licenses Big Apple Bagels®, My Favorite Muffin® and SweetDuet Frozen Yogurt & Gourmet Muffins™, has opened its first unit in the state of Maryland. Annapolis is the home of the newest My Favorite Muffin Your All Day Bakery Café®.

The new My Favorite Muffin shop is situated on the Main Street shopping district, known for its beautiful view of the harbor, and is operated by new franchisee “M4 Muffins, Inc.” owned by retired U.S. Navy Commander Mark P. Maglin and wife Melissa Maglin. According to proud new owner-operator Melissa Maglin, "We are so excited to have started this new adventure. It has been a dream for Mark and me to open our own store. We are proud to be a family run and locally owned business in Annapolis."

In front of a huge display case featuring up to 20 different varieties of six-ounce “Jumbo” muffins, some of which are Fat-Free, as well as “Mini’s,” the muffin options run the gamut from varieties like Blueberry and Cinnamon Crumb for the traditionalist to more decadent creations like Chocolate Cheesecake and Boston Creme Pie. The muffins are made from proprietary batter formulations from which literally hundreds of varieties can be created. And as an additional feature, My Favorite Muffin gift baskets can be created for virtually any gift-giving occasion.
