San Jose Home Care Caregiver Marleen Murillo Wins National Caregiver Recognition

Scottsdale, Ariz. (PRWEB) October 02, 2012 - National in-home care provider SYNERGY HomeCare Friday night presented Marleen Murillo with the Caregiver of the Year award. The award, given at the Franchisor’s Annual Franchise Meeting is the highest honor a caregiver can receive within the company.

When SYNERGY HomeCare began soliciting nominations for Caregiver of the Year, Carrie Casillas, owner of SYNERGY HomeCare of San Jose, immediately submitted Marleen’s candidacy. Marleen has worked for SYNERGY HomeCare for over two years.

Marleen’s nomination told a story of true compassion and selfless service. When Marleen entered the lives of the Shrigley family in November 2010, they had experienced difficulty finding a suitable caregiver for their needs.

“When you meet Marleen, the first thing you notice is how she brightens up a room,” says Carrie Casillas. “She has a warm smile, a contagious laugh, and a huge heart. What you come to respect about her is her uncompromising work ethic and the compassion she has for helping people.”

Jack and Lee Ann Shrigley noticed Marleen’s warmth as soon as they met her. Lee Ann and Marleen instantly connected, allowing Marleen to directly improve Lee Ann’s condition. Marleen’s presence soothed family relations and enhanced care for Jack and Lee Ann.

“I am very much touched by this because it took me by surprise,” says Marleen. “I was just working to the best of my ability to care for my clients and make them as healthy and as comfortable as they can be.”

“We know that [Marleen] was a tremendous help for our dad and that mom’s journey through all she went through was made much easier having Marleen care for her,” says family member Tamara.
