ServiceMaster Clean Awards Highest Honor to Local Franchisee

Local Residential  Cleaning Xpecialists are Recognized During the Company’s International Convention

October 04, 2012 // Franchising.com // Spartanburg, South Carolina - ServiceMaster Clean awarded its highest honor, the Marion E. Wade Master Award of Honor, to Bill and Shelia Sowers, owners of ServiceMaster of Spartanburg, at its International Convention recently held in Anaheim, CA. The award is named after Marion E. Wade, the founder of ServiceMaster.

“It is an honor to earn this distinction,” said Bill Sowers. “But honestly, we owe our success to the people that work for us and to our loyal customers. All this is measured against ServiceMaster’s corporate objectives – which we strongly adhere to – To honor God in all we do, to help people develop, to excel with our customers and to grow profitably.” Shelia added, “By simply treating our customer’s right and surrounding ourselves with quality people, we find that they will have confidence that the job was done correctly, and more importantly, they can trust us.”

The Sowers have both spent much of their professional careers as part of the ServiceMaster family. Sheila has been with ServiceMaster for 19 years after purchasing the business from one of the original ServiceMaster franchise owners in the nation, and Bill joined her 8 years later. They are active volunteers in the community and enjoy spending their free time with their four children and one grandchild.

Prior to receiving the Marion E. Wade Master Award, the Sowers were presented the Achiever and Expert awards. Recipients of the Achiever Award must meet a variety of criteria in order to be nominated, including a minimum revenue amount, a minimum growth of 10 percent and a nomination by their Regional Business Development Manager. From these recipients, the top franchises are selected for the Expert award. The Expert recipients, who were honored at the convention, represent the top performing franchise owners from over 3,200 businesses worldwide. The Marion E. Wade Award of Honor is given annually to one top franchise owner in the Residential category.
