October 10, 2012 // Franchising.com // Louisville, Ky. - Bryan Brown, franchise owner of eight Meineke Car Care Center locations in Louisville, Ky., and southern Indiana, was honored during this year’s Meineke Convention with its annual Franchisee of the Year Award.

Brown began his venture with Meineke Car Care Centers 15 years ago and is Meineke’s first two-time winner of the prestigious award, having also won in 2008.
“The incredible leadership, attitude and business savvy demonstrated by Mr. Brown has helped him establish eight outstanding Meineke Centers. The growth and success of the market and Bryan as a franchisee is a true reflection of the Meineke brand as it celebrates its 40th year in business,” said Vice President of Marketing/Communications John Vitagliano.
In addition to being a successful entrepreneur in the Meineke business system, Bryan along with his wife, Carla, instill and demonstrate the values of family and hard work among their employees. They have developed a high degree of trust and loyalty among their staff by setting high expectations and providing guidance so each employee can contribute and benefit from the success of the business.
Meineke, a full-service automotive maintenance and repair, specializing in brakes, maintenance services and general repair, is owned by Driven Brands, the parent company to six franchised automotive brands. Growth projections for Meineke call for a net growth initiative of 200 new centers by July 2013. Maaco plans to continue to expand its presence in markets across the U.S., and growth projections call for approximately 60 net center openings to be opened by July 2013. Markets targeted for expansion include Baltimore, Buffalo, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Phoenix, Pittsburgh and Rochester, N.Y.
