Raising Cane’s Brings its One Love to Keller

Chicken Fingers Chain to Open 19th DFW-Area Restaurant on October 11th

KELLER, TX (October 8, 2012) – Fans of Raising Cane’s – a.k.a. “Caniacs” – will soon have a more convenient option for satisfying their cravings for premium chicken fingers.

Cane’s is set to open its first restaurant in Keller at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 11. The new location at 916 Keller Parkway, just north of Rufe Snow, will be Cane’s first in Keller, the 19th in the Dallas/Fort Worth market, the 39th in Texas, and the 137th overall across 17 states.

General Manager Todd Maunsell, who has lived in Keller for more than 10 years, can’t wait to open his doors to the local community. Maunsell was previously the general manager at Raising Cane’s Hurst location, and he is looking forward to introducing his friends and neighbors to the restaurant’s ONE LOVE: fresh, never ever frozen chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, Texas Toast, sweet tea and, of course, that secret recipe Cane’s sauce.

“It’s been a long time coming, but Raising Cane’s is almost here in Keller,” said Maunsell. “Everyone I talk to is getting excited about checking out our newest restaurant. I have no doubt we’re going to do very well here, and we’ve already started getting involved in some cool things in support of the Keller community.”

Raising Cane’s is in the midst of a rapid expansion across Texas and other states. The company is a recognized industry leader in customer service and is distinguished by its generous support of the communities it serves.

On October 5th, from 9:30 to 11:30 AM, Maunsell and his crewmembers stocked the food pantry at Community Storehouse, a charitable organization that has provided meals, books and other services to thousands of children in the Keller and Northwest School Districts for more than 30 years.

“Active community support is embedded in Raising Cane’s corporate DNA, so you’ll see us getting heavily involved in Keller’s schools and non-profit organizations over the coming months and years,” said Maunsell.

In fact, Raising Cane’s has already begun supporting local schools with its sponsorship of the Keller High School Athletics program. One KHS senior won a $500 college scholarship from Cane’s by successfully kicking a field goal in the “Cane’s Kick” challenge at halftime of the Indians’ first home game.

Doors will officially open to the public at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 11. The first 100 paying dine-in customers will receive a commemorative Keller Cane’s T-shirt, along with a voucher for a free Box Combo that may be redeemed on a subsequent visit. (The voucher is not valid on Opening Day.) In many expansion markets, customers camp out overnight to be among the first to enjoy Cane’s offerings.

Between October 11 and 17, Keller customers will also be invited to participate in the company’s “Give Back Giveaway” tradition, in which one customer will win a $1,000 donation to his or her local charity of choice, along with a special prize relating to a guest appearance by a high-profile celebrity planned at the restaurant for October 30th. More details to follow soon.
