United Country to Bring Auction Academy to Las Vegas in January

Five-Day School Will Offer West Coast Auctioneers Advanced Training

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (PRWEB) October 17, 2012 - Soon, West Coast auctioneers will have the opportunity to receive top-notch training in their own backyard. United Country Auction Services is excited to announce the first class of United Auction Academy is set for January 13 through 17 in Las Vegas.

“With the high profile, business growth and public acceptance of auctions today, it only made sense for our company to be proactive in offering professional auctioneering training courses to individuals and companies interested in the Art of Auctioneering,” said veteran Texas auctioneer Mike Jones, who will oversee the operations.

The classes have been specifically designed to focus on general basic auctioneering principles but targeting what many believe to be key growth areas in the auction industry including all types of real estate, estate settlement, automobiles, fundraising and benefit auctions, as well as self storage. Jones was very clear that the “sing song” chant of the auctioneer will be front and center along with the latest cutting-edge technology.

“We have a great team of professional auctioneers lined up to teach our classes and they are excited about our entrance into the Western United States and West Coast,” said Jones, who was recently inducted into the National Auctioneers Association Hall of Fame and serves as president of both United Country Auction Services and Texas Auction Academy in Dallas. “This is a great opportunity for us to educate and inform the general public and consumer about the Auction Advantage and allow us to tell the story of why everyone should be including auctions in their daily lives.”

The unveiling of United Auction Academy comes on the heels of the 20th Anniversary celebration of the Texas Auction Academy in June 2012. Lori Jones, the school’s administrator feels this event will bring auctioneer to a new audience that has a thirst for the new method of marketing real estate and personal property.

“We are very excited to take our professional auctioneering classes to new areas of the country like California, Nevada and the Pacific Northwest where we feel auctions are underutilized and have great growth potential,” said Lori. “We want people to come to our classes to learn and tap into a great industry. If they enjoy the five-day class and want to take their interest to a more advanced level, they can enroll in our nine-day classes in Dallas where they will receive over 80 hours of state approved courses and after passing the school and state test will help position themselves to work throughout the United States.”

About United Auction Academy and Texas Auction Academy

United Auction Academy and Texas Auction Academyhave teamed up to provide exceptional professional auctioneer and support staff training. Since 1992 the instructors and owners of the school have trained over 2000 individuals from as far away as Canada, New Zealand and China, focused on becoming auctioneers. In that time, we have trained and coached National Auctioneers Association (IAC) International Auctioneer Champions, World Auto Auctioneer Champions and dozens of State, Rookie and Senior Champion Auctioneers. But our primary principle of teaching auctioneering is “it does not matter how good your chant is, if no one ever hears it” so our main goal is to teach you the auction business and let you practice your chant. We are proud supporters of the National Auctioneers Association and the National Auctioneers Foundation.
