Lily Sarafan, President of Home Care Assistance, is Nominated as a Finalist for Female Executive of the Year

The Stevie® Awards, given Annually to American and International Business Leaders, has Nominated Lily Sarafan, President and COO of Home Care Assistance, as a Finalist for their 2012 Female Executive of the Year

Palo Alto, CA (PRWEB) October 19, 2012 - Home Care Assistance is proud to announce that the Stevie Awards have named Lily Sarafan, President and Chief Operating Officer, as a finalist for Female Executive of the Year. Sarafan was nominated by a panel of over 130 business leaders and is being recognized for her vision, leadership and transformative impact on society.

The Stevie Awards are recognized as the world’s premier business award. The awards were created in 2003 to restore confidence and trust in American business and are today recognized as ‘the business world’s own Oscar Awards.’ Notable Stevie winners and nominees include Larry Ellison, CEO of Oracle, Eric Schmidt, CEO of Google, Irene Rosenfeld, CEO of Kraft Foods and Jeffrey Bezos, CEO of Amazon. This year, the selection committee chose from over 1,200 qualified nominees to select the finalists for the Female Executive of the Year award. Nominees include senior executives from Proctor and Gamble, General Motors, Unilever, Accenture and other Fortune 500 companies. Sarafan will be honored at the November 9th awards dinner in New York City where the winner will be announced.

“We’re very excited about this year’s Finalists in the Stevie Awards for Women in Business,” said Michael Gallagher, Founder and President of the Stevie Awards. “The judges have told me that they think this is the best and most inspiring crop of nominees we’ve ever had. We look forward to seeing the judges’ final decisions.”

At Home Care Assistance, Lily Sarafan oversees day to day operations including growth strategy, sales, marketing, business development, technology and communications. Home Care Assistance is the only company in the senior care market to pursue a hybrid corporate/franchise growth strategy, which has allowed the company to rapidly expand its footprint while preserving the integrity of its premier brand. Home Care Assistance is also widely celebrated for its Hospital to Home Care Program, which helps clients avoid hospital readmissions that affect one in five discharged patients and costs our healthcare system over $15 billion per year.

Over the past 8 years, Sarafan has grown the company from its Silicon Valley Headquarters to locations throughout the United States and Canada with plans to expand beyond North America in the near term. A recognized industry expert, she has been featured by over 100 media outlets including Forbes, Smart Money and Entrepreneur. She is also the co-author of a healthy longevity book series, including the award-winning Happy to 102. Sarafan received master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Stanford University and serves on various nonprofit boards and committees with causes ranging from eliminating childhood poverty to increasing participation in American civic life.

“I am honored to be a finalist for Female Executive of the Year, and to be considered alongside such successful and dynamic female leaders,” said Lily Sarafan. “Our mission at Home Care Assistance is to change the way the world ages, and we owe our success to the way our clients have embraced the real, forward-thinking solutions we provide to the challenges of our aging population.”
