Fixture Manufacturing Specialist, Inc. Earns FSC Certification

Greenville, WI – 10/17/12  - Fixture Manufacturing Specialist, Inc., the manufacturing arm of F.C. Dadson, is proud to earn FSC® certification by The Forest Stewardship CouncilTM (FSC). The council is an independent, nongovernmental, notforprofit organization established to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests. Between the forest and the final consumer, forest products may undergo many stages of processing, transformation, manufacturing and distribution.

FSC Chain of Custody (CoC) certification verifies that FSC certified material is identified or kept segregated from noncertified material through this chain. FSC Chain of Custody certification allows Fixture Manufacturing Specialist, Inc. to label their FSC products, which in turn enables consumers to identify and choose products that support responsible forest management. For Fixture Manufacturing Specialist, Inc. to sell FSC certificated products, they must have a FSC Chain of Custody (CoC) certification. The FSC CoC tracks FSC certified material throughout the production and manufacturing process. CoC certification can be used to show compliance with public or private procurement policies and specifications such as the US Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating systems.
