Vanguard Cleaning Systems Program for U.S. Military Veterans

SAN MATEO, CA - (Marketwire - Nov 13, 2012) - Vanguard Cleaning Systems, a leading commercial cleaning franchisor, announced a program for U.S. Military veterans who have received their honorable discharge from the military. The program, in which initial franchise fees are reduced by 10 percent, is intended to create business opportunities in a rapidly growing category.

"The leadership and discipline I learned from the Marines combined with the business expertise and support I have received from the Vanguard regional office have helped me build a foundation for success," said Shayne Saxton, Vanguard Cleaning Systems of Inland Northwest franchisee. "I'm proud to be creating a long-term business for me and my family."

Shayne Saxton, a former U.S. Marine, was recognized by Vanguard Cleaning Systems as the Franchisee of the Year in January 2012 for his outstanding performance in delivering high-quality services to his clients.

"Simply put: Shayne's a leader," said Jim Uebelher, President of Vanguard Cleaning Systems of Inland Northwest. "He has used his expertise in organizing people and in operating around a shared goal to deliver great service to his customers. We're proud of the contribution he's made to our country and pleased to have him on 'our team.'"

In addition to the 10 percent reduction of the initial franchise fee, prospective franchisees participating in the program will receive:

  • Initial business operations training in areas such as selling their own accounts, providing customer service and managing cleaning operations
  • The opportunity to purchase high-quality cleaning equipment and supplies through the Vanguard regional office
  • Commercial cleaning customers
  • Invoicing and collection services for customers
  • Customer service assistance during the day
  • Ongoing business support -- training on new equipment and techniques, operations, account sales and new business development
