Christian Brothers Automotive Donates 80,000 Meals to Needy Americans

November 14, 2012 // Franchising.com // HOUSTON – In celebration of the Thanksgiving season, Christian Brothers Automotive, a national automotive repair franchise, has partnered with Feeding America, the nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief charity, to provide 80,000 meals to needy Americans.

The donation is part of a Christian Brothers Thanksgiving promotion focused on giving thanks. Fans are encouraged to share what they are most thankful for on the company’s Facebook page. Each week, one fan’s entry will be shared as the Christian Brothers “Thanks of the Week.”

“Christian Brothers Automotive is devoted to helping others, and we couldn’t think of a better organization to partner with than Feeding America,” said Mark Carr, founder and CEO of Christian Brothers Automotive. “With this partnership, we are able to provide 80,000 meals to those who may have otherwise gone hungry this Thanksgiving. While we celebrate with our families and friends this holiday season, it is important that we reflect on how blessed we are as an organization and give back to those who need it the most.”

Feeding America is the nation's leading domestic hunger-relief charity. Its mission is to feed America's hungry through a nationwide network of member food banks and engage the country in the fight to end hunger.

Christian Brothers Automotive was established in 1982 as a result of Carr’s ambition to give Houston-area car owners a pleasant, professional and clean automotive service experience. Carr began franchising the brand in 1997.Distinguishing itself with a family-first value system, all locations operate during traditional working hours, but they are closed on weekends so owners and employees can share quality family time.

Christian Brothers Automotive provides full-service automotive diagnostic testing and evaluation, maintenance programs and repair work for all domestic and foreign vehicles at each of their locations.
