One Lucky Key Starts Brand New Camaro in Phoenix Contest

Finalists Fly In From All Over The Country To Win Car Worth 50K!

MINNEAPOLIS – Nov. 8, 2012 – While thousands of NASCAR fans sweat it out in Phoenix on Saturday, three fans in particular will sweat for a different reason. They are three finalists in a huge national contest hoping their key starts a new Camaro in the “Great Camaro Giveaway Contest”on Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Phoenix International Raceway.

Great Clips Inc., the world’s largest hair salon brand, awarded three finalists keys to a 2012 Victory Red Camaro worth almost 50 thousand dollars – but only one will have the “lucky key” that starts the car. The hair raising “Camaro Giveaway” will take place at precisely 1:29 p.m. MST (Mountain Standard Time) BEFORE the Great Clips 200 race.

Come Catch The "Hairy" Excitement As Finalists Try To Jumpstart Their Lives With This Dream Car.

The finalists are:

  • Karlie Bailey, a 22-year-old single mom with health issues who needs a new car to get to college and work.
  • Patricia Cox, a 52-year-old nurse who drives her husband and two children around in “clunkers” and says she will “polish the car and talk to it” every day.
  • Robert Garcia, a team leader in a milk producing plant who says he has never driven a new car and has “never won anything”.

The “Great Camaro Giveaway” is one of many exciting events for Great Clips that’s celebrating its 30th birthday this year with presents for its customers, corporate staff, franchisees and stylists. The company, with 107 salons in Phoenix and 119 in Arizona total, has grown into an international icon with more than 3,200 salons in 150 markets across the United States and Canada.
