More Than 500 Franchise and Coaching Executives Gather to Transform Careers, Businesses and the Economy

13th Annual Franchise Source Brands International Conference Produces Game-Changing Strategies for 2013; Addressed How Small Businesses Can Impact Job Uncertainty and Fuel the Economy

November 20, 2012 // // Southbury, Conn. – More than 500 of North America’s top franchise industry executives and business coaches came together recently at the 13th Annual Franchise Source Brands International™ (FSBI) conference. The exclusive event was one of the largest industry gatherings of franchise executives and business coaching professionals, who strategized and planned how they can do their part to help fuel the economy through small business ownership and increase the success rate of small businesses nationwide.

“It was truly inspiring to watch powerhouse franchise executives and business coaching professionals embark on initiatives that will have a greater impact on the economy than government policies,” said Terry Powell, Founder of FSBI, the globally acclaimed multi-brand franchisor with five high-performance brands in its portfolio such as The Entrepreneur’s Source® (E-Source) and AdviCoach®. “The conference fueled game-changing ideas and strategies that will help move people from Employment to Empowerment® as a solution to job uncertainty, endowing them to recognize their strengths and achieve their goals with entrepreneurship. The new initiatives will undoubtedly play an integral role in the growth of the franchise and small business market for years to come.”

Taking place at Fort Lauderdale’s Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa, the FSBI conference was action packed with educational roundtables, networking opportunities, and general sessions that were designed to generate thought-provoking ideas on how to propel people to a new, improved version of themselves, or what’s being called You 2.0®. Franchise industry executives and business coaches also discussed strategies for strengthening programs that help individuals realize their potential in business ownership and franchising, including initiatives to support women going into or in business, called WEBB Women Empowered by Business® as well as initiatives to support veterans, called Veteran2Entrepreneur (V2E®).

The conference inspired business owners to take a look at the state of their company—including dangers, opportunities and strengths—and be proactive by creating the next enhanced version of their business, or Your Business 2.0®. Attendees walked away with tangible, results-driven ideas to help fine tune and grow their business, empowered to exceed performance from the previous year.

“After losing my job in the financial industry, I had to make a bold career change and recognized that, even though I had no prior business ownership experience, a career in franchising may be the most viable option for me if I wanted to take control of my professional future,” said Blake Metsch, owner of Tutor Doctor of Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming and recipient of The Entrepreneur’s Source® 2012 Client of the Year Award. “The Entrepreneur’s Source helped me realize my strengths and opportunities as a business owner and matched me with the right franchise.”

E-Source business coaches attend the annual conference to stay informed on the many franchise and business models available and set the foundation for lasting relationships with prominent franchise brands. In recent years, coaches have placed people in businesses representing more than $400 million dollars in client-level investments. This success is due to the extensive discovery process the coaches take clients through that helps client see how different franchise concepts meet their desired Income, Lifestyle, Wealth and Equity goals. Ninety-five percent of E-Source clients end up discovering options they admittedly would have never looked at on their own or would have prematurely dismissed.

Today, FSBI’s business coaching brands dominate the $1.5 billion business coaching market with a commanding 33 percent of the business coaching and consulting franchise market in North America.
