Good Earth Cafes Ltd.: Do Good. Feel Good. Gingerbread Families Are Back

4th Annual Gingerbread Family Campaign Helps Real Families in Edmonton

EDMONTON, ALBERTA - (Marketwire - Dec. 13, 2012) - Good Earth Coffeehouse and Bakery has once again baked up a delicious gingerbread holiday treat in support of Habitat for Humanity.

For the month of December, all Good Earths in Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan will sell packages of fabulous fresh-baked gingerbread families. $1 from the sale of each gingerbread family will go to the local Habitat for Humanity. Each package includes two "adult" cookies and one "child" cookie, and sells for $6.25.

The families are available at all five Good Earths in Edmonton, and our location in Sherwood Park.

"Whether for yourself or as a gift, buying our Gingerbread Families is an easy and affordable way to support Habitat for Humanity in building affordable homes for families," says Nan Eskenazi, co-founder of Good Earth. "The cookies make a great gift for friends, neighbors, coworkers, or anyone who deserves a delicious holiday treat."

Since 2009, sales of gingerbread families have raised over $7300 for Habitat for Humanity.

"Each year Habitat looks forward to seeing the gingerbread families in Good Earth Coffeehouse," said Alfred Nikolai, President & CEO, Habitat for Humanity Edmonton. "We send our sincerest thanks to Good Earth for helping us build homes and serve families in our community."

Taste the Joy! Seasonal beverages like the Gingerbread Latte and Peppermint Mocha have also returned to Good Earth. The Toasted Coconut Chai is back by popular demand! New to the holiday lineup of beverages is a Cinnamon Rooibos Latte and Eggnog Steamer.
