Wellington, Fla. - December 10, 2012 - LED Source®, the leading North American LED lighting solutions provider that specializes in full-scale evaluations and retrofits, will host a grand opening for its new corporate location in Wellington, Fla. on Dec. 13. The 13,000 square foot facility, located at 3281 Fairlane Farms Rd., is the first all-LED commercial building of this size in Wellington.
“We are incredibly excited to open our new corporate building,” said Marcel Fairbairn, president and CEO of LED Source. “The building, a first of its kind in Wellington, utilizes state-of-the-art LED technology throughout, which showcases how LED lighting can dramatically revitalize and improve any commercial location while saving significant costs on maintenance and energy bills.”
The new space primarily utilizes Cree® CR24™ and CR22™ LED troffers in addition to Lighting Science and Toshiba LED lamps, and Philips ExceLine BayLyter fixtures in the warehouse. The building’s fixtures provide bright, energy-efficient illumination that reduces related consumption by 34,158 kWh, saving $6,225.90 in total energy, maintenance, and air conditioning costs annually.
“Cree is pleased that LED Source selected Cree troffers to illuminate their new corporate headquarters,” said Tami Timperio, vice president of communications and lighting for Cree. “The CR Series LED troffers offer a no-compromise solution to fluorescent lighting – consuming nearly 50 percent less energy than a comparable linear fluorescent and delivering quality light with more than twice the lifetime.”
The grand opening celebration will take place Dec. 13 from 4-7 p.m. and will include a ribbon cutting ceremony with Wellington mayor Bob Margolis and an open house featuring refreshments and appetizers. The event is put on in collaboration with the Wellington Chamber of Commerce.
