Holiday Franchise Give Back: Red Kettle Ringers

December 21, 2012 // Franchising.com // If you’re looking for a last minute little tidbit of holiday franchise give back, here’s one from a chilly day that will warm your heart. Last week, participants from Interim HealthCare’s Freedom Center in Rochester, NY were volunteer bell ringers at the Salvation Army Red Kettle location outside Macy’s at the Greece Ridge Mall. Interim HealthCare’s Freedom Center offers a day program for people with brain injuries and participants in their 20s through 80s come to enjoy art, word working, exercise, music and computer activities. The Center encourages community give back and ringing at the Red Kettle was a perfect outreach during this holiday season.

“The customers recognized that it was really cold outside and were very generous with their Red Kettle donations,” Tonette Ferrante said. “Alex was so moved by the day that he actually wants to work with the people receiving help from support like the Salvation Army fundraiser, so we’re going to work in a soup kitchen soon.”
