December 21 Marks The “Beginning of the World” in Palm Bay, as the Arrival of the Newest Pollo Tropical® Dismisses All Doomsday Predictions!

PALM BAY, FL (DEC. 10, 2012) – Friday, December 21 may mark the end of the Mayan calendar, but for Pollo Tropical® fans it’s the beginning of something great! The restaurant chain famous for its marinated, flamegrilled chicken and other menu varieties is celebrating the Grand Opening of its newest restaurant in Palm Bay by throwing an all-day “Beginning of the World” Grand Opening Party at the new restaurant in the Shops at Hammock Landing, 4355 Norfolk Parkway.

The Pollo Tropical “Beginning of the World” Grand Opening Party has events throughout the day. The party starts at 9:00 a.m. and is hosted by Adam Alexander of MIX105 FM Radio’s Morning Mix Show. The first 100 customers to make a purchase for the 10:30 a.m. opening of Pollo Tropical will be entered for a chance to win free Pollo Tropical for a Year and will receive certificates good for a Create Your Own Family Meal on their next visit.

The winner of the free Pollo Tropical for a Year will be drawn at random, on-site at 11:00 a.m. The winner must be present to win and claim their prize.

Other grand opening activities include “Beginning of the World” prize drawings hourly from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for those enrolling in PolloReward$™, the rewards program that delivers discounts and special offers via email or mobile text to Pollo Tropical customers; live tropical music throughout the day; and a free evening “Beginning of the World” concert appearance by The Landsharks – beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Customers can dine in, take out or use the restaurant’s convenient “Pollo on the Go” drive thru. The restaurant will open daily at 10:30 a.m., seven days a week.

The menu variety includes the famous Pollo Tropical marinated, flame-grilled chicken in addition to Create Your Own TropiChop® Bowls, savory Mojo Roast Pork pulled and served with sautéed onions, Guava BBQ Riblets, Caribbean Fajitas, plus generous portion Family Meals and even Kids’ Meals. An assortment of signature sandwiches and wraps also highlight the menu, including the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich, Classic Chicken Sandwich with Peppadew® Sauce, Guava Pork BBQ Sandwich, Chicken Caesar Wrap, and a Chicken Quesadilla Wrap.
