CUPS Frozen Yogurt – That’s Hot™ Opens Second New York Location in Long Island’s Carle Place

January 03, 2013 // Franchising.com // Carle Place, NY – CUPS Frozen Yogurt – That’s Hot™, the beach-themed self-serve fro-yo concept, will open its second New York location at 7 pm on Wednesday, January 2 at 55 Old Country Road in Carle Place, New York.

With 11 CUPS locations, Carle Place will be CUPS second location in New York. CUPS opened in Yonkers in October. Additional New York locations are slated to open this year.

During the grand opening week, each Carle Place customer will be given a “scratch off” which contains prizes such as wristbands, beach balls, water bottles, beach towels and CUPS coupons. One lucky person will receive free fro-yo for a year.

Since opening the first CUPS in Clifton, New Jersey in 2010, CUPS has taken the Tri-State area by storm, becoming the local hot spot for teenagers and adults alike who make their own fro-yo concoctions choosing from 24 yogurt flavors and over 50 different toppings and three sauces.

According to CUPS co-founder Rick Barbrick, CUPS is much more than great frozen yogurt; CUPS was designed around the experience.

“It’s more of a club like experience. We pump out club dance music at volumes that create a highly energetic vibe, a lounge-type design with couches, ottomans and eclectic murals; and Cast Members with infectiously fun personalities. It’s the complete experience that gives us that edgy vibe versus an everyday yogurt bar or ice cream shop experience,” said Barbrick.
