2012 - A Great Year for the Pop-A-Lock Franchise

The nation's most trusted group of locksmith's receives national recognition.

Lafayette, LA (PRWEB) January 04, 2013 - Pop-A-Lock, the nation's largest full service locksmith network, has shown an exponential growth rate – 2012 being the most successful in the franchises 20 year history. Proof of that growth comes from Entrepreneur Magazine’s 34th Annual Franchise 500. This survey is recognized as the best and most comprehensive franchise ranking in the world and will be released early 2013.

What started in 1991 by two law enforcement officers in Lafayette, LA soon grew to cover the entire state - Lafayette, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Alexandria, Shreveport - you won't get far without hearing about or seeing a Pop-A-Lock branded vehicle in your area.

Pop-A-Lock earned the #1 spot in the Services category and ranked #118 out of 500 for all franchises participating. All companies, regardless of size, are judged by the same criteria: objective, quantifiable measures of the franchise system. Important factors include years in business, financial strength and stability, growth rate, and size of the system. Companies with the highest cumulative score become the Franchise 500.

In 2012, Pop-A-Lock has grown to serve an additional 5,000 communities, totaling close to 9,500. Over 17,230,000 in population was added to the already staggering number of people Pop-A-Lock currently provides automotive, commercial, and residential services to.

Don Marks, CEO of the Pop-A-Lock franchise system said, “We are very excited about our continuous, explosive growth toward prevalent coverage of North America combined with continuing international growth which will allow us to become the preferred security provider to major companies and organizations as well as individual families and small business.”

The most significant growth took place in California in areas such as Sunnyvale, Morgan Hill, Modesto, Ontario, Santa Monica, San Clemente, and the city of San Diego. Others areas developed are Chicago, Indianapolis, Eau Claire, St. Louis, St. Paul, and Philadelphia. Areas soon to open are Snohomish County in Washington, Westchester County in New York, Prince William, VA, and Colorado Springs.

In addition to offering automotive, commercial, and residential services to the expanded coverage areas, Pop-A-Lock’s Emergency Door Unlock program will also be available to the people living in the areas mentioned. The EDU program is a free community service to anyone who has inadvertently locked their child in their vehicle. Since the program has started, over $10 million dollars of free service has been provided.

Pop-A-Lock is looking forward to the opportunities that 2013 will provide, and that includes bringing the nation’s most trusted group of locksmiths to an area near you.
