Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group opens Park Inn by Radisson Covina

January 04, 2013 // Franchising.com // Covina, Calif. - Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the world’s largest and most dynamic hotel groups, today announced the further expansion of the Park Inn by Radisson brand in North America with the opening of the Park Inn by Radisson, Covina, Calif.

“The opening of the second Park Inn by Radisson in California represents the continued momentum of our Ambition 2015 growth strategy and is aligned with plans to grow Park Inn by Radisson as a winning midscale brand in North America,” said Scott Meyer, senior vice president, Midscale Brands, Americas.

The brand has grown to more than 125 hotels in operation globally with 65 hotels currently in development.

The Park Inn by Radisson Covina offers 246 standard rooms, 10 one-bedroom suites and two presidential suites with views of a lush, tropical courtyard and pool. Decorated in warm tones, rooms offer a calming atmosphere with a spacious living room and separate bedrooms with one king bed or two double beds. Many suites also offer the exclusive Sleep Number® beds that allow guests to adjust the firmness of the mattress to their exact level of comfort with the touch of a button.

Hotel amenities include an on-site fitness center, an outdoor pool and whirlpool in a tropical setting, a gift shop, dry cleaning service, room service, 3-hour express laundry service and free, high-speed, wireless Internet access. The hotel offers on-site dining options, including a full American breakfast and the popular Hamilton's Steakhouse.

The hotel is ideal for business and leisure travelers. The property’s 8,600 square feet of meeting space consists of flexible conference and banquet facilities that can accommodate up to 450 people. The ballroom can be sub-divided into five separate spaces, and there are four smaller meeting rooms available. In addition to professional meeting staff, the hotel also offers a full range of audiovisual equipment and catering services.
