Pie Five Pizza Co. Now Open in Denton

Rapidly Expanding Concept Opens Ninth Location and Second College Location

THE COLONY, Texas, Jan. 21, 2013 // GLOBE NEWSWIRE // - Denton is known for its eclectic music scene, large universities and now, the addition of the first Pie Five restaurant in town. Today, Pie Five Pizza Co., a division of Pizza Inn, Inc. (Nasdaq:PZZI), opened its ninth restaurant and second college location at 1120 West Hickory at Fry Street across from the University of North Texas campus in Denton.

"Denton is a young and active community and home to University of North Texas and Texas Woman's University. With the on-the-go college crowd in mind, the Pie Five Denton menu features more than a million combinations of fresh, made-to-order pizzas and a variety of specialty pie choices prepared in less than five minutes on a Whole Grain, Artisan Thin, Classic Pan, or Gluten Free Crust.

Recognized by Nation's Restaurant News as a 2012 Hot Concept award winner, Pie Five opened its first location June 2011 in Fort Worth. Pie Five has since expanded to nine corporate-owned restaurants across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex with a 10th location scheduled to open next month at 3051 South University Drive on the Texas Christian University campus in Fort Worth. The concept has also awarded multi-unit franchising development agreements for another 18 locations out of state with plans for additional franchise growth.
