Brown Bag's 14th Street Location to Open on Saturdays

Brown Bag’s 14th Street location will be open from 8 AM until 3 PM on Saturdays beginning January 26th.

Washington, DC (PRWEB) January 23, 2013 - Brown Bag restaurant, best known for its weekday breakfasts and lunches with a focus on good-for-you-food “on the fly” will be opening its doors at its 14th Street location on Saturdays beginning January 26th.

Asked why this particular restaurant has chosen to expand its hours, manager John Teare, said, “There are many hotels with out of town guests in the vicinity, and every Saturday that I am here working, multiple people try to come in for breakfast or lunch, especially the people who live in the area but work somewhere else and can’t get to us during the week. We hope this will open Brown Bag up to a wider audience, people who are looking for a healthy, delicious meal and a place to relax on their Saturdays off.”

The Arlington Brown Bag restaurant has been open on Saturdays for a while now, and with the success of this location, 14th Street thought this might just be the time to give it a go. If all goes well, the Bethesda Brown Bag location may open its Saturday doors as well.

For now, Saturday hours will be from 8 AM to 3 PM, but may expand in the future. There are a few differences Saturday patrons should know about: If you don’t like to rise and shine early on a weekend morning, you’re in luck--breakfast will be served all day. “Build Your Own” noodle bowls, however, are out of your Saturday reach. In fact, no noodle dishes will be available--but catering will be.

Brown Bag has an extensive catering business, and with Saturday openings, not only will local offices and businesses have the option of breakfasting or lunching with their favorite weekday caterers, now local residents will, too. Brown Bag’s weekend openings offer new options for afternoon parties, showers and more for residents looking for a healthy option for their familial and social events.

The expanded hours of the 14th Street Brown Bag location are an exciting addition to the area--for Brown Bag's manager, John Teare, as well as its owner, Erich Fuldner--and for residents and guests of the area, as well.
