Kilt Wearing Window Cleaners Help Set Robbie Burns World Record

Men In Kilts window cleaners will help set the new world record for longest continual recitation of Robbie Burns poetry and song on Robbie Burns Day.

Vancouver, BC (PRWEB) January 24, 2013 - Men In Kilts, a full-service window cleaning, gutter cleaning, siding cleaning and pressure washing franchise company, officially announced that on Robbie Burns Day, January, 25th 2013 they will team up with Simon Fraser University’s Centre for Scottish Studies and their bid to set the new world record for “The Longest Continual Recitation of Robbie Burns’ Poetry and Song”. The Centre set the record last year with a time of 4 hours, 12 minutes and 27 seconds. The goal this year is to top 5 hours.

It will take over 80 speakers and singers to break the record. Men In Kilts will participate in the poetry reading and provide speakers with pictures of their time at the podium. “For some, it is the first time they will speak before an audience and for the vast majority the only time they will be part of a history making event,” says Brent Hohlweg, Co-Founder & Chief Brand Architect at Men In Kilts.

The day will include haggis, pipers, love poems, shortbread, laments and a group of people joining together to celebrate Scotland’s most beloved poet.
